Pricing guide

How much does a website cost in Lebanon, MO?

Real numbers from a local web designer: what a small-business website costs, what changes the price, and what you’ll pay after launch.

The short answer

At Mid-Mo Web Co., a custom small-business website costs $750 to $1,600, paid once. After launch, every site is on the required $100/month care package. You also register and pay for your own domain.

Prices across the industry vary widely, so the most useful thing I can do is show you exactly what mine are and what drives them.

Price by size of website

Starter: $750

Up to 5 pages, 1 round of revisions. Home, services, about, and contact: the essentials most first websites need.

Standard: $1,250

Up to 8 pages, 2 rounds of revisions. Room for individual service pages, so each thing you offer gets explained properly.

Custom: $1,600

10+ pages, 3 rounds of revisions. Fully custom page layouts, or an ongoing content section for news, projects, or listings.

Every tier includes copywriting, a custom design, mobile-first development, a contact or quote form, and search-ready setup. You own the finished website after final payment.

What changes the price

  • Number of pages. The biggest factor. A business with one main service needs fewer pages than one offering five distinct services. Privacy and terms pages don’t count toward the limit.
  • Rounds of revisions. More review rounds mean more time refining the design and copy together.
  • Photos and video. If you already have good photos or video, I use yours. If you don’t, I can provide original on-site photos for $100 and a homepage hero video for $100, plus $2 per mile one way for travel outside Lebanon. Real photos of your work almost always beat stock images.
  • Ongoing content. A news, projects, or listings section that keeps growing fits the Custom tier.

What doesn’t change the price: whether you already have a website. Redesigns use the same three tiers as new websites.

Ongoing costs after launch

Care package (required): $100 per month

Hosting, unlimited ordinary updates (same day when requested before noon Central time on a business day), a quarterly SEO update email starting three months after launch, and consultations.

Your domain: paid by you

You register your own domain with a registrar you choose (I recommend GoDaddy) and pay for it yourself, and you add me as a manager on that account so I can connect your site. I’ll walk you through every step.

Every site is hosted through Mid-Mo Web Co. and requires the care package. Canceling takes 30 days’ notice, and the site stays live until the current yearly hosting term ends.

Who owns the website

You own the finished website after final payment. Files, logins, and administrative access are documented in the written project agreement. The domain is registered in your name, with you paying the registrar directly.

How this compares with other options

Do-it-yourself builders charge a monthly subscription, and the real cost is your time: choosing a template, writing every page, and fixing things when they break. Larger agencies can offer more services, but you’ll usually pay for account managers and handoffs between several people.

With Mid-Mo Web Co., you work with one person, me, from the first call through launch and updates, at a price set for what businesses around Lebanon can actually spend.

Questions to ask any web designer

  • Is the price one time, monthly, or both?
  • Who writes the words on the website?
  • How many rounds of revisions are included?
  • Who owns the website and the domain when it’s finished?
  • What does it cost to make a change after launch, and how fast does it happen?
  • What happens if I want to leave?

You’ll find my answers to all of them on the pricing page and in the FAQ. If you’re still deciding whether you need a website at all, read do I need a website if I have a Facebook page?
